I have found the Ashtanga Yoga classes to be really good supplement to my main sporting activity  Рcycling Рwhich is notorious for doing very little to maintain core strength and general flexibility. My back now performs much better on long all-day rides, and my breathing feels more controlled. I am also a coeliac (gluten allergy) and I suffer from some gastro-intestinal problems from time to time, but I believe that the abdominal exercises and stretching have improved my condition.

I still find some of the positions very hard, limited mostly by my lack of flexibility around the hips, but even that is improving. At first I found the 2 hour sessions to be very long but now feel more comfortable. I find the atmosphere in the class to be very calm but friendly.
